As a Mechanical Engineer (Building Mechanical Services), you will provide planning, development of design for building Mechanical services and become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
Job (Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Dubai – Jacobs) Responsibilities
- You will prepare and check equipment specification, datasheet, material requisition.
- You will undertake technical bid analysis of vendor offer, vendor drawing review of mechanical equipment such as HVAC equipment (AHU, Chiller, Fans etc.), firefighting equipment (fire pumps, clean agent, preaction system etc) with a good understanding of BOQs and specifications for tender documents and checking of drawings.
- This role will allow you to interact with your own and other discipline to complete design tasks.
- You will coordinate structural and architectural drawings with other services drawings to integrate with Mechanical drawings prior to issuance.
- You will be responsible for interaction with clients, contractors, vendors
- Travels to client sites for project meetings, presentations, etc. and with the team on specifications, estimates and contractual issues.
Job (Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Dubai – Jacobs) Requirements
- Thorough Knowledge of plumbing and Firefighting service in line with local and international codes such as NFPA, IPC. NFPA experience mandatory.
- Capable of working on the software’s like -HAP, Duct sizing, HVAC equipment selections like Chillers, AHUs, FANs, FCUS etc.
- Good communication and presentation skills and excellent report writing skills.
- Experience in working in Revit (MEP) software will be an advantage.
- Experience in energy modelling software like Trace 3D/Equest/IES knowledge will be added advantage.
- In depth knowledge of HVAC ASHARE standards and other international codes on energy savings.
- Demonstrate a reliable, responsive, and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity.
