Job Responsibilities
- Quality control: Quantity Surveyors are responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet quality standards, and that materials and workmanship are of high quality.
- Dispute resolution: Quantity Surveyors may be called upon to resolve disputes related to construction projects, including disputes related to contracts, budget overruns, and delays.
- Project management: Quantity Surveyors may also be responsible for managing construction projects from start to finish, including overseeing the work of contractors and subcontractors, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction and operation industries.
- Experience with cost estimating, budget management, and contract administration
- Experience with construction project management, including overseeing the work of contractors and subcontractors.
- Experience with risk management and quality control.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze project plans and specifications and accurately estimate costs.
